Our Business 

Hillier Nurseries Limited is one of the county’s leading horticultural companies, established over 150 years ago, with 22 garden centres operating across the south of England, and shrub and tree nurseries located in Hampshire. Our product range includes semi-mature trees, plants, gardening, indoor and outdoor living and farm shop products. We also operate restaurants across our garden centres.

Our head office is located in Romsey, Hampshire, and we source our products and services from approximately 200 suppliers, mainly from the UK, but also in Europe and the Far East. We have no operations based outside the UK.

Hillier is committed to preventing any form of modern slavery in its activities, and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery or human trafficking taking place within the business or our supply chain.

Our People

We employ over 1000 people across 26 locations, with employment policies and standards overseen by a central HR function. We have strict recruitment policies and checking procedures to ensure eligibility to work, and use only reputable employment agencies to source temporary labour.

Our Supply Chain

The company will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking. Our main suppliers are all UK registered and many have a long history with us.

We are engaged in a programme of training appropriate staff in procurement and recruitment roles in modern slavery and how to recognise potential risks.
