What will you learn?

• How to creatively manage a portfolio of products and services, ensuring critical paths are followed
• How to build a portfolio that maintains the Hillier brand of quality, excellence, and uniqueness
• How to manage risk, drive sales and maximise profitability while considering the needs of different customers and delivery channels
• How to manage range building and planning, linking with the wider business to support the Hillier customer journey
• How to negotiate effectively with suppliers on key deliverables such as cost, lead times, promotion, support, and flexibility
• How to maximise sales and profitability by using techniques such as pricing strategies, product trends, product design and routes to market
• How to ensure the Hillier portfolio is delivered in an ethical, sustainable, and legal way in the sourcing of product ranges, aligned to the overall business strategy
• Effective leadership skills to develop and contribute to departmental strategies to ensure overarching organisational objectives are met
• How to manage and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to agree on promotional campaigns to maximise the success and profitability
• How to analyse and evaluate overall performance against the original strategy and identify lessons to learn for future business cycles

What do you need to have?

Previous experience is not essential! This is a graduate/entry-level opportunity, so all training will be provided.

• You just need to be great with numbers, sharp with data and able to balance lots of different tasks at the same time
• You will also need the confidence to build relationships across the whole function and beyond
• Curiosity is essential, always on the look out for the next best thing, one step ahead of the trends
• Be prepared to prioritise your own workload, and most of all, do not be afraid to get stuck in and become an integral member of the family
