A hardy, upright, deciduous shrub has pinnate leaves, dark purple-black leaflets with a silvery-blue sheen. Flattened panicles of tiny, aromatic, pink flowers are produced in summer followed by spherical, glossy, black fruit. Perfect for mixed borders adding a contrasting colour.
