Growing Guide
Planting
Dicentra thrives in well-draining soil that retains moisture. It prefers being planted between autumn and the beginning of spring in partial shade.
Ensure that your soil is well-drained because you could face root rots or leaf spots if the soil becomes waterlogged.
Pruning
After the plant naturally dies back, cut back the dead foliage to ensure the plant remains healthy. Deadhead spent flowers as required or remove whole stems once all their flowers have passed.
Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist between spring and winter but dry moderately between each watering.
