Growing Success Apple Maggot Trap Refill

Growing Success Apple Maggot Trap is a sticky trap with a pheromone lure that attracts male coddling moths. This prevents females laying eggs on apple and pear trees which cause future crop damage by maggots.

How to use:

1. Place the trap in the garden in mid-May.
2. Unfold the sticky insert, open the sachet and place the monitoring lure in the middle of the sticky trap.
3. Put the insert in the trap, sticky side up.
4. Hang the trap at head height on the windward side of the tree. The trap will monitor moths for five average size trees up to 12 metres apart.
5. Inspect the traps regularly. If more than 12 moths are trapped per week, treat with a suitable insecticide.
6. Replace sticky glue insert and monitoring lure after 6 weeks.
7. Remove trap in early September and dispose of the sticky insert and monitoring lure.
