The Cyrtomium fortunei evergreen fern forms upright shuttlecocks of bright green leathery sickle shaped leaves on dark stems. This low maintenance and hardy plant is a valuable addition to any garden or landscape. Best grown in well drained soil it needs humus rich soil to fully thrive as well as full sun to partial shade. It will grow up to 60cm in height and 40cm wide and would look great mixed in with other ferns or woodland plants particularly in a shaded outdoor area.
